Biography

The former chef at Boqueria and Tertulia in New York City, Seamus Mullen made a name for himself with Spanish cuisine and has emerged on the plant-based, health-forward food scene in Los Angeles. Seamus champions whole foods, health and wellness, from his cookbooks 鈥淗ero Food鈥 and 鈥淩eal Food Heals,鈥 to his work with Gwyneth Paltrow and GOOP.

He was a finalist on 鈥淭he Next Iron Chef鈥 season 2 and has judged 鈥淏eat Bobby Flay鈥 and 鈥淐hopped.鈥 Seamus contributes to Men鈥檚 Journal and hosts a wellness podcast called 鈥淕oopfellas.鈥 He鈥檚 a chef consultant for a hotel group and fast-casual concepts and supports No Kid Hungry鈥檚 Chef Cycle as an avid cyclist.

As a restaurant chef, Seamus was New York magazine鈥檚 Best New Chef in 2007, Eater鈥檚 Comeback of the Year award winner in 2011, and a semifinalist for the James Beard Award for Best Chef: New York City three times. He joined the Institute of 国产福利 Education in 2020 bringing expertise from the service, wellness and food media sectors of the industry.
